Dust storm turns town black in seconds
By now you've probably heard of the incredible dust storm that has smothered Sydney and other parts of Queensland and NSW. If you haven't, check out some of the photos on flickr.
We woke up to the most incredibly red skies, it was apocalyptic and intensely beautiful at the same time. It created the most incredible atmosphere, I would have been happy just to sit and watch the skies all day.
I first heard of the storm on ABC radio at ~5pm yesterday. Apparently it had totally blacked out Broken Hill. My friend Deb posted this link on Twitter of a video that shows how quickly it happened!
